- Represented 49 retired executives in recovering (through a court judgment and settlement) several millions of dollars in non-qualified retirement benefits from their former employer
- Obtained relief for an NCAA Division I university from certain restrictive rules imposed by the NCAA upon its new members
- Obtained relief for a shareholder against members of a corporation’s board of directors for their improper usurpation of a corporate opportunity
- Defended claims against a closely held business and its principals for an alleged fraud in the sale of the assets of that business, resulting in a favorable settlement of such claims
- Obtained a jury verdict in favor of a business that sued a former officer and director of the business for mismanaging the company and for using company assets and opportunities to establish a separate business for the former officer and his partner
- Defended claims against a national franchise for an alleged interference with a proposed sale of restaurants by one of its franchisees, resulting in a favorable settlement of such claims
- Successfully enforced a fast food franchisor’s rights under a franchise agreement
- Obtained favorable judgment for software developer in computer piracy case against large health care provider
- Successfully obtained injunctive relief for real estate developer in a dispute over whether an alley in the City of St. Louis was vacated by a city ordinance
- Obtained relief for a purchaser of real estate for damages suffered by the purchaser for fraud perpetrated by the seller of such real estate to the client
- Obtained jury verdict in favor of employer in sexual harassment case brought by employer’s female maintenance workers
- Obtained summary judgments in favor of employers in many employment cases
- Successfully defended an employer in a claim maintained by the EEOC on behalf of six minor female employees, resulting in favorable resolution of all claims
- Represented numerous employers and individuals in enforcement of covenants not to compete cases
- Successfully obtained, through litigation, a Certificate of Need to allow the owner/operator of a free-standing healthcare facility to add a major addition to its medical equipment at the facility
- Successfully represented healthcare facilities and other employers in case management and preparation of employment based immigrant and non-immigrant petitions, PERM and adjustment of status applications; this work mainly focuses on healthcare and other professionals
- Successfully protected a not for profit client’s interests as a beneficiary under a will and trust being challenged by relatives of our client’s benefactor
