Established policies, procedures and systems for the development office. Provided leadership to develop strategic plan for a special project related to the renovation and addition to campus science building. Expanded Board of Trustees which reflects a national presence. Worked collaboratively with all facets of college community to communicate development goals and cultivate support for fundraising initiatives. Oversight of Alumni Relations.

Acted as chief executive officer of foundation, managing $30 million endowment.
Vice President for Development
Managed development activities for one of the nation’s largest health and social service charities. Oversaw multi-million-dollar project to establish new ASP-based development software program. Directed annual fund and planned giving efforts raising $15 million to $20 million annually. Led efforts to cultivate and maintain relationships with Fortune 500 companies. Provided counsel and management expertise on diverse issues at nearly 100 affiliate locations. Conducted regular training sessions for development officers and executives nationwide. Served as primary liaison between headquarters staff and members of national board of trustees.
- Vice President for Development, Phillips University, Enid, Oklahoma
Established business school’s first board of local, regional and national business leaders. Cultivated significant support for university’s NAIA-level athletic programs. Set single-year record for money raised by the university.
Athletic Director
Managed all basketball operations, including scheduling, fundraising and special events. Developed first effective booster program for university athletics programs. Doubled previous season’s number of victories during first year as coach. Taught courses in Sports Psychology and Theory of Education.
- Head Men’s Basketball Coach, Southwest Missouri State University, Springfield, Missouri
Assisted in raising more than one-million dollars for basketball program over three-year period. Served as nation’s then-youngest NCAA Division One basketball coach in 1980. Led team to then-best turnaround season in school’s history in 1981.
- Assistant Coach / Recruiting Coordinator, University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, Arkansas
Developed contacts and recruited players for nation’s most successful team of the late ‘70s. Signed three players who advanced to successful careers in the National Basketball Association. Represented team as a speaker at Razorback Clubs. Taught the Theory of Basketball.
