Ann’s practice is concentrated in the representation of nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations, in the areas of employment, corporate law, taxation, employee benefits, immigration and education law.
Representative Work
- Handles a wide variety of legal issues for religious, charitable and educational institutions.
- Counsels clients in tax and employment matters.
- Counsels nonprofit tax-exempt organizations through all stages of corporate existence, from organization to termination.
- Represents educational institutions and systems at all levels, from early childhood through graduate school.
- Works with government officials on behalf of nonprofits, and with nonprofit employees on corporate compliance.
- Advises nonprofits with regard to employee benefit plans.
- Assists officers and boards of several nonprofits with governance issues.
- Advises nonprofits on restructurings, asset purchases and sales, lending transactions and real estate transactions.
- Assists employers with immigration matters, including employment-based visas and permanent residency.
